WABE offers all educational staff a salary based on the applicable pay scale. We have created the WABE Care for you Card for our administrative staff. This allows them to choose the health services they need within the scope of their health budget. The WABE Care for you Card is fully financed by WABE and adapts flexibly to the different phases of their lives. It includes modules such as subsidies for visual aids, hearing aids and dental care. And if something urgent arises, useful services such as the specialist appointment service or the video consultation are available – quickly and promptly.
In addition, all employees receive subsidies for the HVV-ProfiTicket.
WABE offers individual development opportunities, specialization in specialist areas as well as internal promotion opportunities up to daycare management in an inspiring work environment.
As specialist educators , we offer the employees in our facilities the opportunity to develop their particular specialist areas, e.g. nature and technology, movement, art.
In cooperation with the State College for Social Pedagogy, WABE takes part in the Hamburg qualification offensive for social pedagogy , which is aimed at interested career changers. This is an extra-occupational training course to become an educator, which shortens the classic training in this area to 3 years, makes it more practical and pays according to a collective agreement.
In addition to the health cards with special benefits for our educational staff and for WABE employees in administration, we regularly organize health days with different focal points. Additional health promotion measures are also used: for example, our employees were able to take part in the B2Run company run supported by DAK-Gesundheit for the first time in 2023.
