Register now“Do School Differently” is the motto of our international school in Pinneberg. School operations on our WABE International School for the Hamburg metropolitan region started at the beginning of September 2016. Our international school is a state-approved alternative school and is located in Schleswig-Holstein. It is a recognized IB World School and offers space for up to 300 students in the current expansion phase.

The WABE International School offers an innovative concept from grades 1 to 12 with the International Baccalaureate (IB) as a degree. The main language of instruction is English. With a German program, the school ensures that students learn at native-speaker level. The first IB graduating class was bid farewell at the end of May 2021.
Inquiry-based and experiential learning are essential elements of the pedagogical program and are meaningfully integrated into the curriculum.
The target group of the school are both international and German families from the metropolitan region of Hamburg, whose children want to learn according to an international school concept.
The school is characterized by a cosmopolitan atmosphere. International and local schoolchildren find an intensive exchange and a learning-conducive togetherness through a pronounced welcoming culture.
Due to its international orientation, the WABE International School represents a supplement and enrichment of the existing school landscape in the Pinneberg district.
